Tour of France Special Trip Reviews
|
I have been telling some of the riders about my experience with your tour and they
are impressed. one of the guys said he went on a tour and they rode from Hotel to hotel and the lugage was
transported - I definatly like the way you do it and they agree. it toke a lot of pressure off having to
make certain distances each day so the riding is plesurable want to see you again next year - Len, USA

TdF holiday 2005 with Veloloco most memorable yet! David and Sam not only made the
holiday fun whilst catering for our every need but managed to smooth the logisitcs out in a crazy
difficult TdF world so we didn't even notice. Thank you for catering for our mixed ability group so
comfortably - we all had the time of our life! Nobody felt under presure to cycle if they didn't want
to whilst every opportunity was there to cycle as much as you wanted. Miracle workers .....
want to come back! - Jacqui, UK

Whew... what to say about a trip that couldn't have been any more
special or spectacular?!? As you know, I have been lucky enough to do a
couple of TDF trips before - both with Graham Baxter Tours. I wouldn't
go back to them.
VeloLoco beats the competition hands down... on all aspects. The fact
that your groups are smaller means that your clients get seriously
tailor-made service from you... it's not one-size fits all i.e. not "if
you can't cycle over that Col, tough luck, you'll have to stay in the
bus." The fact that you cater (properly) for cyclists of all levels of
enthusiasm!/ability makes a dream TDF tour a reality for the whole
family. I have to admit that I was a little anxious about how Mum would
cope with the cycling and whether she'd enjoy the experience... well
it's her 60th next year and she's already talking about possibly going
back to the Tour and she's continued with her cycling! The pricing is
reasonable; accomadation well thought-out and planned with travel time
to Le Tour in mind; food... well it's hard to beat French cuisine...
even the side-of-the-road baguette avec jambon et fromage! Also, having
you guys to help out with the translation is a massive help! I recommend
VeloLoco to all my cycling buddies here - hope you're ready for more
South Africans on your tours!
For people flying into France, the option of having bikes to hire is fantastic...
takes the schlep out of packing a bike and stress of worrying whether a) it's going to arrive in France and b) whether
it's still going to be in one piece! The bikes that VeloLoco have to hire are awesome - light, forgiving, comfortable...
hell, I wanted to take mine home with me! - Jenny, South Africa

Cycling with velo loco along the tour de france route thru the pyrennes in summer
2005 was probably one of the highlights of my life! sam & david offer a wonderful experience whether you are an
independant cycling adventurer...or one who is looking for a fully supported cycling experience. they know the
area quite well and were able to offer flexiblity in our daily biking adventures as well as great accomodations
in a picturesque valley and along the tour route. They had the equipment and facilities to fully support those
who needed it, whether it was a full bike and gear set up, or just some suggestions for routes and dining along
the way. i would and have recommended velo loco to several friends who are planning trips to the south of france. - Jen, USA

Just to say a huge thanks for a great week - this was completely different
to what Jo and I expected and we both really enjoyed it. I have been meaning to see the TdF for years
and have never got round to it. Thanks in particular for help with the shoes and headset fix which could
both have ruined the week. Cheers, Dave, UK

While my wife and I had travelled many times before, we had always used a
tour operator. Because of a cancellation by the tour operator, we needed help. Dave and Sam were kind enough
to offer it. We made all arrangements thru email, with all of our questions answered in a timely manner. Even
so, we were a little apprehensive. Good news! Dave met us at the airport, as planned, and off we went. Linda and I
stayed with the Sewell family for 5 nights and were treated to wonderful homecooking by a gracious host. We
had rented bikes to use, and while they weren't the very latest, they were quite serviceable and suited our needs.
Dave also fixed a few minor problems, as needed. We were given easy to follow directions for our rides, even though
some of the riding isn't so easy. Aulus-Les- Bains is on a route used by the TdF, which passed through during our visit,
quite a sight! Dave and Sam were flexible enough to rearrange their daily activities to fit into our schedule. My wife
and I met them in 2004 and still maintain contact. We look forward to the time when our paths cross again. Steve and Linda Hunt, USA
